These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of Techtrendery.com and everything published on it: articles, reviews, benchmark data, images, newsletters, code samples and the site itself. They are a contract between you and the operator of the site.
We have tried to write them in the same register as the rest of the publication — direct, specific, and free of clauses whose only purpose is to be hard to read. Where a section limits your rights or ours, it says so plainly.
1. Acceptance of these Terms
By visiting Techtrendery.com, reading an article, subscribing to the newsletter, sending us a message, or otherwise using any part of the site, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which are incorporated here by reference. If you do not agree with any part of them, please stop using the site.
You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction to use the site. The site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
2. Who we are and how to reach us
Techtrendery.com is an independent technology publication covering artificial intelligence, gadgets, cybersecurity, software, cloud and practical how-to guides. The masthead and the way we work are described on the About page and in our Editorial Policy.
- General enquiries: hello@techstrendery.com
- Corrections, story tips and editorial matters: editorial@techstrendery.com
- Everything else, including legal notices: our contact page
The legal entity operating the site, its registered address and its company or tax registration numbers are to be inserted here by the site operator before launch.
3. Permitted use of the site
You may read, print and share Techtrendery.com for your own personal, non-commercial use, and for ordinary internal use inside an organisation. Circulating an article to your team, citing one of our benchmark figures in an internal memo, or linking to a guide from your runbook is welcome and needs no permission from us.
You agree not to:
- Interfere with the operation of the site, including any attempt to probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the site or its hosting without our written permission, or to circumvent an access control or rate limit.
- Use automated tools in a way that degrades service for other readers. Well-behaved crawlers that respect our robots directives and reasonable request rates are fine; scrapers that hammer the origin are not.
- Introduce malware, attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system or account, or use the site to distribute unlawful, defamatory, harassing or infringing material.
- Misrepresent your affiliation with Techtrendery.com, impersonate a member of our staff, or publish anything implying that we endorse a product, company or claim when we have not.
- Remove, obscure or alter any attribution, byline, copyright notice or watermark attached to our work.
4. Intellectual property, quoting and republication
All original text, photography, charts, benchmark datasets, page design and source code on this site are owned by the operator of Techtrendery.com or licensed to it, and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Product names, logos and marks belonging to third parties remain the property of their respective owners and are used descriptively.
What you may do without asking
- Quote a short excerpt. Reproduce up to roughly 150 words, or a single chart or table, in your own article, newsletter, forum post or internal document — provided the excerpt is clearly attributed to Techtrendery.com and accompanied by a direct, followable link to the original page.
- Link freely. You may link to any page here, including using our headline as the anchor text, without asking permission.
- Cite our measurements. If you reference a benchmark figure we published, cite the article it came from and its date. Hardware, firmware and model versions change, and a number without a date is misleading.
What requires our written permission
- Wholesale republication. Reproducing an entire article or a substantial portion of one, in any medium, whether or not it is attributed and whether or not it sits behind a paywall.
- Translation or adaptation of full articles, including machine-translated mirrors and rewritten "summaries" that substitute for the original.
- Bulk extraction. Systematic scraping, crawling, downloading or copying of the site or its feeds in order to build a dataset, archive, aggregator or derivative product.
- Machine learning use. Using any content from this site as training, fine-tuning, evaluation or retrieval-corpus data for machine learning or generative AI systems. That use is expressly reserved. It is not granted by these Terms, by the site being publicly reachable, or by the absence of a technical block. Licensing enquiries are genuinely welcome — write to editorial@techstrendery.com.
If you believe content on this site infringes your copyright, send a notice to editorial@techstrendery.com identifying the work, the URL complained of and your contact details. We investigate promptly and remove material where a claim is substantiated.
5. Story tips, corrections and other submissions
We ask readers to send us tips, correction requests, benchmark counter-evidence and feedback, and we read all of it. Anything you send us that we have not specifically commissioned is a "Submission".
- The licence we need. By sending a Submission you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual licence to use, reproduce, quote, edit for length and clarity, and publish it in connection with our journalism, including in follow-up coverage and corrections. You keep ownership of your Submission.
- Attribution and confidentiality. We will not publish your name or contact details without your agreement. If you want to speak on background or anonymously, say so in your first message and we will treat the exchange that way from then on.
- Your warranties. You confirm that the Submission is yours to send, that sending it does not breach a contract, court order or duty of confidence you are bound by, and that it is not unlawful or knowingly false.
- No obligation, no payment. We are not obliged to read, answer, publish or act on any Submission, and Submissions are unpaid unless we have agreed a commission with you in writing beforehand.
- Unsolicited ideas. Please do not send confidential business plans or trade secrets. If an idea you send resembles coverage we were already planning, or that we later develop independently, you agree we owe you nothing for it.
How we verify tips, weigh sources and issue corrections is set out in the Editorial Policy.
6. Third-party links and resources
Our articles link out constantly — to vendor documentation, security advisories, pricing pages, benchmark repositories, research papers and other publications. Those destinations are not under our control. We do not endorse them, we cannot vouch for their accuracy, security, availability or privacy practices, and a link is not a recommendation to buy or install anything.
Once you follow an outbound link, the terms and privacy policy of that site apply instead of ours. Read them before entering personal data, and treat downloads from third parties with the same caution you would apply to any unverified file.
7. Advertising, affiliate links and sponsorship
Techtrendery.com is funded partly by advertising and affiliate links. When you buy through certain links we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Those relationships never determine our verdicts, our scores or which products we choose to test, and sponsored placements are labelled wherever they appear.
The full picture — what we accept money for, what we refuse, and how review hardware is handled and returned — is set out in our Disclaimer and Editorial Policy. What advertising and analytics partners may collect about you is covered in the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. Prices, discounts and availability quoted in articles are accurate at the time of writing and change without notice.
8. No professional advice
Everything on this site is general information published for a broad audience. It is not professional advice, and no advisory relationship is created by your use of the site.
- Technical guidance. Configuration steps, command-line examples, migration guides, cost estimates and security recommendations are written against particular versions, regions and assumptions that will not match your environment exactly. Verify them in a non-production environment, read the vendor documentation, and take backups before you change anything that matters.
- Security content. Vulnerability explanations are published to help defenders understand and mitigate risk. Testing any technique against systems you do not own or have written authorisation to test is unlawful in most jurisdictions.
- Financial, legal and business content. Coverage of pricing, licensing, procurement or company strategy is journalism, not financial, legal, tax or investment advice. Consult a qualified professional before acting on it.
Any action you take on the basis of what you read here is taken at your own risk and remains your responsibility.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The site and its content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and any warranty that the site will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, error-free or free of viruses and other harmful components.
We work hard on accuracy — measurements are run on our own bench, figures are checked before publication, and errors are corrected in the open — but we do not warrant that every statement is complete, current or free of mistakes. Technology moves quickly, and an article that was correct on its publication date may be wrong six months later.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, neither Techtrendery.com, its operator, nor its editors, writers or contributors will be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, nor for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, business opportunity or anticipated savings, arising out of or connected with your use of — or inability to use — the site or its content. That includes reliance on any benchmark, configuration step, price, recommendation or security assessment published here.
Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, our total aggregate liability to you for all claims relating to the site is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or one hundred United States dollars.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Techtrendery.com, its operator and its staff against any claim, demand, loss, liability or reasonable legal cost arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the site, your infringement of a third-party right, or any Submission you send us that turns out to be unlawful, defamatory or not yours to send.
12. Availability and changes to the site
We may add, change, suspend or remove any part of the site — including individual articles, feeds, the newsletter and the sitemap — at any time and without notice. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability: maintenance, hosting incidents and third-party outages can all take the site offline.
When we materially update an article after publication we date and describe the change rather than editing it silently. When we retire a page we redirect it wherever a sensible destination exists, but we cannot promise that every URL will resolve forever.
13. Termination of access
We may block access to the site, remove an address from the newsletter, or decline further correspondence where these Terms are being abused — sustained scraping, attacks on our infrastructure, harassment of our staff or contributors, or persistent republication of our work without permission. Where it is practical and appropriate to do so, we will say why. You may stop using the site at any time, and you can unsubscribe from the newsletter using the link in every issue.
Sections 4, 5, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 14 survive any termination of your access.
14. Governing law and jurisdiction
Placeholder — to be completed by the site operator before launch.
These Terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or with your use of the site, are governed by the laws of [INSERT GOVERNING JURISDICTION — state or province, and country], without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. The courts of [INSERT COMPETENT COURTS] have exclusive jurisdiction, except that we may seek injunctive relief in any competent court to protect our intellectual property.
If you are a consumer resident in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or another region with mandatory consumer-protection rules, nothing in this section deprives you of the protection of the laws of your country of residence, or of your right to bring proceedings there.
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, it is to be limited or severed to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions stay in full force. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These Terms, together with the policies referenced in them, are the entire agreement between you and us concerning the site.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms as the site, the law or our funding model changes. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the current version. Where a change materially affects your rights — a change to the republication licence in section 4, or to the liability limits in section 10, for example — we will announce it on the homepage and in the newsletter at least fourteen days before it takes effect. Continuing to use the site after a revision takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
16. Contact
Questions about these Terms, permission and licensing requests, and legal notices should go to hello@techstrendery.com, or to editorial@techstrendery.com for anything editorial. You can also use the form on our contact page. We aim to reply to every legitimate message within three working days.

These Terms are published in good faith as a working template for a small independent publication. They are not legal advice and they have not been drafted for your particular circumstances. Before launch, have a qualified lawyer in the operator’s jurisdiction review them, complete section 14, and confirm they meet local consumer, e-commerce and advertising-disclosure requirements.
